How do I get the necessary export files from Shopware 5?

How do I get the necessary export files from Shopware 5?

  1. Log in to the admin interface of your Shopware 5 instance
  2. Go with the mouse to the Contents tab
  3. Select the Import/Export item

The Shopware plugin "Shopware Import/Export" must be installed for this. If this plugin is not yet installed, you will get the option to install it when you click on "Import/Export".

5. Select export format: Select CSV as export format
6. Select profile

First, make sure that the hide default templates option is not selected. The following steps use default profiles that every Shopware 5 instance should contain automatically. If you can't find the default profiles, we'll explain how to proceed here.

  • For exporting customers select the profile default_customers (customers)
  • For the export of products (articles) select the profile default_articles_complete (articles complete)


7. Click Start Export

8. Click Start Export again

9. Click Download to get the file that you can import in our system

What do I do if the default profiles described in this guide are not present in my Shopware 5 instance?

  1. Download the default profiles (JSON file):
  2. Click on the Profiles tab in the Import/Export window
  3. Click Import Profile
  4. Select the file of the default profile you want to import (JSON file)
  5. The profile can now be used during export
  6. Click on the Import/Export Manager tab
  7. Continue exporting your file
